What a gorgeous little village Villefranche-sur-mer is. I've come here to relax and that is exactly what I got. Lazy days without doing anything, sometimes that's just all you need. There's plenty to see and do (and shop) in South of France, however for me the perfect holiday can also be to decide to do nothing. Not go to Monaco like planned, not run around and see everything, and just be still. I've always loved that, even as a little girl. Give me some crayons, a French course and a little sunshine and I'm content for weeks.
Can I let you in on a little secret? I don't go shopping on my holidays either. Why would I? I live and breathe fashion during most of the year, I get to see the fashion houses from the inside, -I know what will be found in stores next spring. If I do end up buying something on my holidays, it's because I stumble upon that perfect vintage kimono or piece of jewellery that I won't find at home, -but I prefer to have my suitcase and holiday wardrobe "done" before I go on holiday.
However, on holiday, I eat. A lot. Lucky for me there is 51(!) restaurants in this little town! The other night we found a little restaurant that was supposed to have the best food in Villefranche according to some trusted internet site ( I forget which). Don't let the rustic interior fool you, -the food at L'aparte is incredible, -six stars in my book! A must try if you end up in Villefranche one day.
